Origin and classification: Vinho de Mesa, Rosé sparkling wine extra brut from Óis do Bairro, Portugal. A very old region of glowing valleys, since centuries known for the production of wines of excellent quality of Baga and Bical. The rural scenery is dominated by the Caramulo mountain.\r\n\r\nSoil\/Climate etc.: Chalky clay mid slopes from the Jurassic Inferior with eastern orientation to the sun and a very intense Atlantic influence.\r\n\r\nWinemaker’s Notes: The grapes for the sparkling wines are harvested from different locations. The harvest starts already in August to maintain the fresh and fruity character of the grapes. This way we always have the natural acidity which we love. The first fermentation starts with the\r\nnatural yeast of the grapes. There is no dosage done, so the wines remain dry","brand":"Artisan Wines","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":44966809468997,"sku":"PWNVB3RO","price":52.0,"currency_code":"AUD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0727\/8644\/4357\/files\/9a029114-PWNVB3RO_Fixed.png?v=1777951266"},{"product_id":"pato-wouters-d-n-m-c-baga-tinto-2022","title":"Pato \u0026 Wouters D.N.M.C. Since 2010, António Madeira has been researching, the places in this sub-region, that our ancestors elected as the best for vine, those that we might call the «Grands Crus of the Dão highlands» and found a series of old vines that are distinctive because of the authenticity of their grape varieties, the characteristics and nuances of their granite soils and sun exposures.\r\n\r\n2019 was a good year with fresh and ripe grapes. Os Granitos 2019 is the expression of a 100 years old vineyard with great character. We are facing what could be considered as a « Grand Cru » of the Dão Serra da Estrela. In this small parcel we find a great variation of soils, about 5 types of soils, varying the colors and textures of granites in the different areas of the vineyard. The result is a complex, mineral, fine and full of energy wine, showing a classic side of Dão Serra da Estrela.\r\n\r\nThis wine expresses the character and elegance of the land that witnessed its birth and takes us on a journey through time to discover the aromas and flavours of Serra da Estrela foothills, just as it was in the past.
