Woodlands Cabernet Franc 'Reserve de la Cave' 2023
The Woodlands Réserve de la Cave Cabernet Franc 2023 is a highly sought-after release sourced from the estate's original 1976 Cabernet Franc plantings on the south-facing slope of the renowned Woodlands Vineyard in Wilyabrup, Margaret River.
Produced only in exceptional years, the Réserve de la Cave range represents the pinnacle of Woodlands' winemaking. Fruit is hand-picked, destemmed and meticulously hand-sorted before fermentation in a small open fermenter. Following fermentation, the wine is matured for 15 months in new French oak, creating a Cabernet Franc of exceptional depth, structure and longevity.
Drawn from some of Margaret River's oldest Cabernet Franc vines, this limited-production wine showcases the remarkable quality and character that have made the Réserve de la Cave wines among Australia's most collectible releases. Crafted with a minimal-intervention philosophy, it reflects both vineyard pedigree and meticulous attention to detail.
