The Woodlands Réserve de la Cave Malbec 2017 is a remarkable expression of old-vine Margaret River Malbec, sourced from the historic Woodlands Vineyard in Wilyabrup. Produced only in exceptional years, the Réserve de la Cave range represents the pinnacle of Woodlands' winemaking, drawing fruit from some of the estate's oldest vines planted between 1975 and 1977.

Hand-picked and meticulously sorted, the fruit is fermented in small open fermenters before spending 15 months in new French oak. The result is a wine of depth, concentration and elegance, showcasing the unique character of mature-vine Malbec.

Rich and expressive, the wine displays aromas of dark plum, blackberry, violet and subtle spice. The palate is layered with ripe black fruits, fine mineral notes and hints of dark chocolate, supported by velvety tannins and beautifully integrated oak. Powerful yet refined, it delivers exceptional balance and a long, persistent finish.
