Hayes Family Wines Regional Series Shiraz 2022

A 100% Shiraz drawn from across the Barossa Valley — Williamstown in the south, Stone Well in the west, and Ebenezer and Koonunga in the north.

The fruit was hand-picked, hand-sorted, destemmed and open-fermented, spending 14 days on skins before maturing for 16 months in a blend of new and second-use French oak. 

Deep, bright red with a tinge of purple. Fruit-driven, with dominant blackberry and plummy character, backed by the powerful, natural tannin and acidity typical of Northern Barossa fruit — an inky, classically regional Shiraz with real depth. It's drinking beautifully now, but has ample structure to reward cellaring for 10 years or more.
