Medium brilliant red with blue hues and has a penetrating, pure, mineral-fruit nose. There is a slight salinity to this wine, though the fruits (yes-fruits) are far more cherry-like than berry-like. It has huge life force and has the feeling of radiant power.

“From the hallowed ground of McMinville, Oregon, location of one of my great dive bar experiences (having the older, woman bartender shirtfront and man handle a drunk farmer guy trying to fight me for being an Australian), but also the epicentre of Willamette Valley’s winemaking stuff. Kelley Fox Wines I haven’t seen a lot of, but what I have I have very much liked. The farming is all biodynamic here.
Dark-fruited pinot noir offering ripe cherry and plummy aromas, sniffs of black olive, whiff of sweet earth or undergrowth. The palate has some depth, richness, but feels fresh and lively despite the inky nature of the fruit character. Rolls around the palate well, supple, touched by fine tannins in a web that pulls to a light tug to close. Good length, saturation of flavour and showing potential for some good cellar time too. Very enjoyable wine here.”
