Woodlands Vineyard, established in 1973 by David and Heather Watson, is one of the founding vineyards of the Margaret River wine region in Western Australia. As pioneers in this renowned wine-producing area, Woodlands has built a reputation for crafting wines that reflect the elegance and structure of Bordeaux-style wines. The vineyard’s two prime locations in the Wilyabrup Valley – the original vineyard on Caves Rd and the Woodlands Brook Vineyard, located just 2 km to the northeast – provide the perfect terroir for growing world-class grapes.
Woodlands Vineyard practices dry farming, and its vines are cultivated using a blend of traditional and biodynamic farming methods. This commitment to quality and sustainability includes hand weeding, cane pruning, bunch thinning, and hand-picking the grapes at optimal ripeness. With a focus on small-batch production, Woodlands crafts wines that showcase the distinctive character of the Margaret River region.
