Pure, light and crystalline with subtle bronze tints and a delicate thread of bubbles. The seductive and expressive nose offers an explosion of aromas and a rich and well-rounded palate dominated by mouthwatering notes of ripe fruits and white flowers. The wine is silky, delicate and direct on entry to the palate, which is underpinned by an intense minerality. Complex array of aromas including quince, apricot and mirabelle plum set off by candied fruits and lavender honey. The aromas combine harmoniously and linger on the rich, warm and intensely emotive palate, taking us on a walk through the countryside in the warm sunshine. This wine offers excellent cellaring potential and a pure reflection of the Deutz style.

Made exclusively from the Chardonnay variety grown in Avize (51%), Mesnil-sur-Oger (44%) and Villers-Marmery (around 5%). Amour de Deutz 2007 is equally well-suited to an aperitif or gastronomic dishes. It works beautifully with grilled lobster or sea bass with a drizzle of olive oil. Enjoy served with pure, delicate dishes such as caviar, sushi, sashimi or with richer dishes and certain cheeses from the Champagne region such as Chaource.

“The 2007 Amour de Deutz opens with slightly reductive, toasty notes that are quite appealing. Rich and inviting on the palate, the 2007 offers striking depth and creaminess from the very first taste. Although not especially complex, the 2007 is super-inviting and absolutely delicious. It will be nearly impossible to resist upon release. Disgorged: March 15, 2016.” – 93 Points, Antonio Galloni.
“Mid-yellow colour with a tint of straw, the bouquet more toasty than the regular Blanc de Blancs and very complex, with liberal toast and grilled almond nuances, the palate more along the lemon and grapefruit citrus spectrum. Wonderful acidity and long, driving, penetrative flavours on the palate and finish. A magnificent wine. (Avize 51%, Le Mesnil sur Oger 44%, Villers Marmery 5%. Disgorged March 2016) 24/10/2017”. – 97 Points – Huon Hooke.
