Domaine Chevrot et Fils Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune Rouge 2019

Pure fruit bouquet of raspberries and juicy, fleshy Bigarreaux cherries, mixed with spicy notes of anise and nutmeg, underpinned by the toastier, elegant aromas due to its ageing in Burgundy oak barrels. The palate follows through on its olfactory impressions, a mouth-filling basket of ripe red fruits melted into a fluid and sappy texture. This archetypical pinot noir from the Côte de Beaune culminates in a lively finish of well-ripe redcurrant. It can wait a few years in cellar but can already be appreciated in impetuous youth, with a white meat or liver with chopped parsley.
