Description

Located in the heart of the famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, this family estate has seen six generations of the Mayard family at the helm. Since 2021, Vignobles Mayard have been split up, allowing the winemakers Arthur and Hugo to passionately grow grapes on 12 hectares according to organic methods with the view of preserving the biodiversity and longevity of the soils. They have also introduced agroforestry at the centre of their plots. Numerous trees and animals share the space with the old Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Syrah vines. The estate’s ambition is to produce exceptional wines that perfectly reflect the terroir and the grape varieties. After having harvested the grapes by hand, they are vinified according to natural wine methods with very little intervention in order to allow the bunches to show off all their aromas. More recently, the estate’s first vintage has been amazingly successful, being adored by both wine enthusiasts and the wine press. Everyone praises the wines’ finesse and extremely graceful palates.
